I've tried some other concoctions and quite a few are very crumbly. I hate having half the stuff fall on the ground when I'm stuffing the holes in my feeder log. So I came up with this solution to make it a little stickier. Do use real lard, if possible. Our little town has it! Species that it's attracted so far: downy woodpecker, red-bellied woodpecker, black-capped chickadee, cardinal, house wren, robin, grackle, red-winged blackbird, catbirds...

1 1/2 c
oatmeal, quick or original
peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
How To Make
Mix together with large spoon or use a mixer. If the consistency seems too crumbly, add an extra tablespoon of lard.
Store in a covered container either on counter top or you can store in refrigerator but let it warm up a bit before using.
