Turkey Burgers with Rosemary "Aioli"

Lauren Perkins-Boyd

Ok so I say "Aioli" because it's a fake out really, just store bought mayo jazzed up a bit, for ease. Also, you can use any herbs you like instead of rosemary if you wish like oregano, basil or parsley would be great.

Ground turkey doesn't have much flavor, but the rosemary adds a woodsy flavor to the burger. I love the creaminess of the aioli. Again, you taste fresh rosemary, but it's not overpowering. There's a bit of zing from the vinegar. Topped with tomato, pickles, and onion, this is one tasty turkey burger. Test Kitchen Avatar The Test Kitchen

How to Make Turkey Burgers with Rosemary "Aioli"

  1. For "Aioli": In a small bowl combine mayo, rosemary, garlic, vinegar, olive oil, Dijon and salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate while you prepare the rest of the meal.
  2. For burgers: In a medium bowl, combine turkey, onion, garlic, rosemary, Worcestershire, pepper, and salt.
  3. Form into 4 patties and grill over medium hot coals for about 5 minutes per side placing a slice of cheese on each patty 3-5 minutes before it's done. For indoor cooking, preheat a griddle to medium heat and cook about 5 minutes per side.
  4. Butter the cut side of each bun and grill until golden about 1-2 minutes, same goes for the indoor preparation.
  5. Allow burgers to rest a few minutes before serving. Assemble topping with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and "Aioli." Enjoy!
