Eating low carbs these days, What to do with my sloppy joe mix???? This is as delicious and messy as ever!!! So filling and I dont feel deprived not serving on bun! Of course served rolls for others but I dont miss it, and if I keep making these changes and sticking to them I know Im going to be feeling much better and have more energy. Next time might bake in cabbage!!! I also did this in crockpot so the flavors marry with the ground turkey. This would be great for a party served with different rolls, breads and lettuce leaves.

Ingredients For low carb still sloppy joes (crockpot)

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground turkey
  • 1
    med chopped onion
  • 1/2
    chopped green pepper
  • 1 1/4 c
    chili sauce (or ketchup)
  • 1/2 c
    beef stock
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    tomato paste
  • s&p
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamin

How To Make low carb still sloppy joes (crockpot)

    In frying pan brown onions peppers and ground turkey till slightly browned. Season with s&p.

    Transfer to slow cooker and add and stir well rest of ingredients. Cook on low 4-6hrs. Serve on lettuce leaves top with favorite toppings (cheese sour cream etc.) Roll up and enjoy!!
