Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 1 pkg
    lawry's taco seasoning
  • 1 can(s)
    6 oz. tomato paste
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 can(s)
    7 oz. corn, drained
  • 8
    pita breads
  • ·
    curly lettuce leaves
  • ·
    grated cheddar cheese

How to Make Amigo Pita Pocket Sandwiches

Step-by-Step

  1. In large skillet, brown turkey; drain fat.
  2. Add remaining ingredients except pita bread.
  3. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 min.
  4. Cut off top 1/4 of pita breads. Open pita and line each with lettuce leaves. Spoon filling into each pita and sprinkle cheese on top.
