NOLA style BBQ Shrimp

Just like in New Orleans

serves 2-4

  • 2 stick
    margarine (not butter)
  • 3 Tbsp
    each olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh basil
  • 2 Tbsp
    sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp
    louisiana hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 c
    fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/3 c
    chopped scallions
  • 1 lb
    head on shrimp deveined not peeled
  • crusty french bread for dipping

How To Make

  • 1
    Combine all ingredients in a skillet except shrimp and bread. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer. Lay the shrimp in the sauce side by side not on top of each other. If you have to work in batches do that.

    Cook the shrimp on both sides for about 4 minutes each side.

    Serve the shrimp with the sauce and french bread to mop up all that delicious sauce
