How to Make Grilled Cheese With Caramelized Onion Jam

Step-by-Step

  1. Spread a small amount of caramelized onion jam on a slice of bread. Sprinkle with garlic, onion, and pepper powder. Top with cheeses (I used smoked Bourbon Gouda and mild cheddar - but I suggest sharp cheddar for more flavor).
Top with other slice of bread and spread a small amount of butter on top.
  2. Cook your sandwiches until cheese is melted.
I used my George Foreman grill - yep I still own one of those and use it!
