The Cuban Cristo sandwich is a cross between a Cuban and a Monte Cristo sandwich. The sandwich is dipped into a batter and pan-fried. A combination of the best of both worlds in a tasty combination of savory and sweet.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

This recipe combines two types of sandwiches - a Monte Cristo and Cuban - into one heavenly sandwich. It's salty, sweet, and full of flavor. Frying the sandwich melts the cheese and creates a little crust on the bread. When taking a bite, have a napkin handy because it could get messy. Dipping the sandwich in pepper jelly adds a nice flavor contrast. Raspberry would be good too.
