Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 c
    cooked pork from roast (more if you like)
  • ·
    broth from pork roast
  • 4 large
    potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 medium
    carrots, chopped
  • 1 large
    onions, chopped
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1 tsp
    parsely
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 4 c
    water
  • 1 medium
    head of cabbage ; cut into wedges
  • 1 pkg
    pork gravy mix ; optional

How to Make Mom's Pork Stew

Step-by-Step

  1. Add all ingredients in a dutch oven ; EXCEPT CABBAGE.
  2. Bring to a boil on stove.
  3. Cover and reduce heat to med-high ; until vegetables are tender.
  4. In the last 20 minutes of cooking add the cabbage wedges to the stew ; cook until cabbage is tender.
