I work full-time and don't get home until 5:30 so until I get things around to make my dinner it is pretty late. That is why I love using my Crock Pot! I can come home to an amazing meal. These ribs are so yummy and easy to make. My husband absolutely loved them. He even admitted to sneaking a bite or two before I got home!

Loved this BBQ sauce on these ribs. They came out sooo tender. I love how easy this dish is to put together too ... makes you wonder why you spend time over a hot grill. The Test Kitchen

hot pepper sauce, your choice (I used Texas Pete)

How to Make Crock Pot Country Style Ribs With Maple BBQ Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Ribs: Sprinkle both sides with the garlic powder and Everglades seasoning. Place a paper towel over top and allow to rest while you make the sauce.
  2. Sauce: Place all ingredients, except chopped bacon and the liquid smoke, in a saucepan. Mix well and heat stirring occasionally. Do not allow to burn. Once it begins to come to a soft boil, remove from heat, stir in bacon bits. Place the sauce in a bowl or glass measuring cup and cover with Saran Wrap. Set aside. (Do not refrigerate)
  3. Spray your Crock Pot with cooking spray. Place ribs in and sprinkle with the mesquite liquid smoke. I used a cap full. Cook on low for 4 1/2 hours.
  4. Check meat after the 4 1/2 hours. Should be a little pink. Drain the liquid and cover the ribs with the BBQ sauce and cook for another 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  5. My Crock Pot cooks a little hotter than normal so you may have to adjust your times or cook until a meat thermometer reads 145°. I must add that your house is going to smell so yummy while this is cooking. Enjoy.
