chili bacon macaroni and cheese

This was a spur-of-the moment dish and it came out tasty! I mostly don't like using prepared, boxed stuff, but I was pressed for time; this would probably be better from scratch using elbow macaroni and none of the packet cheese, and regular chili powder instead of the one fished out of the ramen packet, but using what I had was great for a quick meal. Next time I also will add some diced chilies and carmelized onions.

Ingredients For chili bacon macaroni and cheese

  • 2 box
    macaroni and cheese
  • 1 pkg
    ramen chili powder packet
  • 4 oz
    munster cheese
  • 4 oz
    sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 5-6
    turkey bacon strips

How To Make chili bacon macaroni and cheese

    Boil noodles. Preheat oven to 375*.

    When drained, mix with milk and butter as per boxed directions, and add in munster, sharp cheddar and parmesan cheeses.

    Add chili powder packet. Mix well.

    Pour noodles into casserole dish. Top noodles with bacon.

    Bake for 20-25 minutes until bacon is crisp. Enjoy!
