This is a great, versatile make-ahead recipe. I often double the batch and freeze dinner-sized portions to use later in spaghetti sauce, Swedish meatballs, and bbq meatball subs. They can also be made smaller for appetizers.

How to Make Baked Meatballs

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line baking dishes with aluminum foil (optional, for easier clean-up).
  2. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Use a small cookie scoop to make balls of the meat mixture. Place meatballs 1 inch apart in baking dishes.
  3. Bake approx 15 minutes, or until browned (depending, of course, on the size of the meatballs.
  4. The meatballs will peel right off the foil if you let them cool a minute or two. These can be frozen in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
