This recipe takes everyday pork chops to a delicious new level! The combination of all the ingredients in the marinade not only gives the pork chops a wonderful flavor but also makes a fantastic gravy!

Ingredients For asian sesame pork chops

  • 1/2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 c
    freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    hoisin sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper (i always use mixed peppercorns)
  • 1 tsp
    brown sugar, such as demerara
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 4-5 lg
    cloves garlic, pressed
  • 4 lg
    pork chops of 1/2-inch thick
  • 4 lg
    button mushrooms, washed and sliced
  • 2 tsp
    cornstarch mixed with 1/2 cup cold water

How To Make asian sesame pork chops

    In a shallow oven safe baking dish, combine oils, water, soy sauce, lemon juice, hoisin, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, sugar, cayenne and garlic; stir to combine. Add pork chops, and turn to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

    Preheat oven to 375ºF. Bake marinated pork chops in preheat oven for 35 to 40 minutes, basting meat often with marinade.

    Remove from oven and place chops on a warm plate. Carefully pour marinate into a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and add mushrooms. Cook 5 to 8 minutes or until mushrooms are cooked. Pour cornstarch, stir for 1 minute or until gravy is thickens
