In the mood for fried pork chops but not the added fat and calories? Try these juicy air fried pork chops. The Parmesan Panko crust is nice and crispy with very little oil used. Inside, the pork chops are juicy and flavorful. Quick and easy to make, these are a fantastic weeknight meal.

Ingredients For air fried pork chops

  • 4
    pork chops (5 oz each, boneless preferred)
  • buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 c
    Italian seasoned Panko bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp
    grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp
    sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • olive oil spray

How To Make air fried pork chops

  • Drying the pork chops.

    Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel.
  • Pouring buttermilk over the pork chops.

    Place the chops in a sealable container or bag and pour the buttermilk over top. Let soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Panko bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese in a baking dish.

    In a shallow dish, mix the Panko and Parmesan.
  • Extra buttermilk dripping from the pork chops.

    Transfer the pork chops, one at a time, to a plate, letting the buttermilk drip off.
  • Seasoning the pork chops.

    Sprinkle each chop evenly with the salt and pepper.
  • Coating the pork chops with the Panko crumb mixture.

    One at a time, place the pork chops into the Panko mixture. Cover with the crumbs on both sides, pressing them firmly so they adhere to the pork well.
  • Preheating the air fryer.

    Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • Spraying basket with olive oil spray.

    Remove the preheated air fryer basket and lightly spray with olive oil spray.
  • Spraying pork chops in the basket with olive oil.

    Place the pork chops in the basket. Lightly spray the tops of the pork chops with the olive oil spray. (Don’t overcrowd the basket. The pork chops can be close together just make sure they do not touch. If you have a small air fryer, the chops will need to be cooked in batches.)
  • Cooking the pork chops for six minutes.

    Fry for 6 minutes.
  • Flipping the pork chops.

    Flip the pork chops.
  • Spraying the other side with olive oil.

    Lightly spray the tops of the flipped pork chops with the olive oil spray.
  • Continuing to air fry the pork chops.

    Fry for another 6 minutes.
  • Pork chops resting on a wire rack.

    Let the chops cool for 5 minutes on a wire rack while the juices redistribute.
