Ingredients For vermicelli pie

6 ozvermicelli, uncooked

1/2 cshredded mozzarella cheese

1 ccottage cheese, creamed

1/2 tspgarlic salt

3/4 tsporegano

6 oztomato paste

8 ozstewed tomatoes

1/4 cchopped green bell pepper

1/2 cchopped onion
-
1 lbground beef
-
2eggs, well beaten
-
1/3 cgrated parmesan cheese

2 Tbspbutter

8-12 slicepepperoni
How To Make vermicelli pie

1Cook vermicelli according to package directions; drain.

2Stir butter and parmesan cheese into hot vermicelli.

3Add eggs, stirring well.

4Spoon into a greased 10-inch pie plate.

5Use a spoon to shape noodles into a pie shell.

6Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 9 minutes or until set.

7Combine beef, onion and green pepper in a large skillet.

8Cook over medium heat until meat is browned, stirring to crumble; drain well.

9Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings.

10Cover and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

11Spread cottage cheese evenly over pie shell.

12Top with meat sauce.

13Cover with foil, and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes; sprinkle with mozzarella, and top with pepperoni.

14Bake, uncovered, about 5 minutes.
