Our most favorite, easy, yet great for picky kids lasagna. Deliciously tender noodles and meat, and wonderful flavors in the sauce, as it slow cooks for several hours.

Ingredients For sydney's crockpot lasagna
- FOR THE SAUCE

1 Tbspolive oil
-
1 Tbspminced garlic (fresh cloves or in the refrigerated jar)

1 lbground hamburger
-
24 - 32 oztomato sauce or your favorite go-to jar of sauce - you need approx. 24 - 32 ounces. {if using jarred sauce, you don't have to add the remaining seasonings}

2 Tbspbutter, room temperature

1 1/2 Tbspitalian seasoning

1 Tbsporegano, dried

2 Tbsponion powder
-
1 tspgarlic salt
-
1/4 tspblack pepper

5 - 7basil leaves (or about 2 tablespoons basil paste in a tube)

2 Tbspsugar
- FOR THE CHEESE MIXTURE

15 ozricotta cheese
-
15 ozcottage cheese
-
1/4 cparmesan cheese
-
1 Tbspgarlic (minced)
-
1/2 cparsley (freshly chopped)
- NOODLES
-
1 boxlasagna noodles
- CHEESE FOR THE TOP

2 cshredded mozzarella cheese
How To Make sydney's crockpot lasagna

1Spray the liner of the crock pot (or use a slow cooker liner) with Pam, pour one ladle-full of sauce into the crock pot, and add 1 cup water.

2Add noodles, followed by some of the cottage cheese/ricotta, followed by some more sauce, repeating until the last layer - top the last layer of noodles with only sauce (you'll add the cheese in step 4, below).

3Turn on low for 4 - 6 hours, or until done.

4During the last hour of cooking, sprinkle the top with the mozzarella cheese.
