lean ground beef
1 large
onion (chopped)
1 clove
garlic (minced)
2 lb
tomatoes (skinned, and cut up)
8 oz
tomato sauce
12 oz
tomato paste
1 c
beef bouillon
2 Tbsp
parsley (minced)
1 Tbsp
brown sugar
1 tsp
dried oregano leaves
1 tsp
dried basil leaves
1 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
fresh ground black pepper

How to Make Russ's Spaghetti Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large skillet, crumble meat with onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat while breaking up pieces of meat wit a fork until it loses it's red color
  • 2Drain off excess fat
  • 3In a crockpot, combine meat mixture and other ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until combined and cooked through.

    Also excellent for pizza topping

    Freezes well
