Ingredients

  • 12 oz
    uncooked penne pasta
  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 1 can(s)
    14 oz diced tomatoes with basil, garlic & oregano
  • 1 can(s)
    6 oz. tomato paste
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 3 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese-divided

How to Make Penne Pasta Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat: Oven to 350 F. Cook pasta according to package directions-set aside. Cook Ground Meat and Onion in a large skillet about 8 minutes or until beef is crumbled, brown and no longer pink-drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomatoe paste, and water. Season to taste. Heat through.

    Coat: 13 X 9 X 2 baking dish with cooking spray. Combine cooked pasta with meat-tomatoe mixture and 2 cups of Mozzarell cheese. Pour into baking dish and top evenly with remaining cheese.

    Bake: Uncovered for 20 to 28 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
