My brother-in-law is 17 years old and will eat this until he is sick. He loves it as does everyone else that tries it. I love it too, which is why I don't make it as often as my brother-in-law would like. You can add different items to this recipe and less of others as long as you don't forget to add the love it always turns out delicious.

How To Make pasta bake

  • 1
Bring 3qts of Water to a Boil. Add 1 tsp olive oil and a dash of salt to water.
  • 2
Compare Pasta Cooking times for Aldente texture. Add Pasta that takes longest first then add the second Pasta type accordingly (usually 2-4 minutes later).
  • 3
Begin Browning Hamburger Meat in a large skillet adding spices (garlic, onion and italian seasonings) while raw.
  • 4
Pre-Heat Oven to 400 degrees. Shred Cheese and set aside for layers. Slice or leave Whole 3/4 can of Olives. I usually snack on the other 1/4 of the can while cooking. :) Check that the Pasta does NOT become overcooked. Drain and set aside.
  • 5
In a deep casserole dish, add a layer of Aldente Pasta not to exceed 1/4 of the dish's depth. Try to arrange pasta so you cannot see the bottom of the dish. Add a thin layer of Shredded Cheese. Once Hamburger is browned (but not overcooked), drain well and add a layer over shredded cheese.
  • 6
In a large mixing bowl, add pasta sauce and remainder of Hamburger meat and a pinch (or two) of sugar and mix well. Once mixed, add a layer (about half of sauce mixture) above Hamburger in dish. Add a layer of Shredded Cheese (thiker than first layer) above Sauce Mixture.
  • 7
Add Pasta layer over sauce arranging them so you cannot see much of the layer below (cheese or sauce). Add remaining Sauce Mixture over Pasta and cover with remaining Shredded Cheese. Top with Olives and sprinkle the top evenly with Parmesan Cheese.
  • 8
Bake on top oven rack until cheese is browned and bubbly. Serve not to immediately as it will be volcanic in temperature.
