I'm not sure where the name of this dish came from or why, but I have made and shared this recipe many times. It is especially great when you are trying to use up tomatoes and basil from the garden.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    bowtie pasta
  • 3 c
    chopped tomatoes
  • 5 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 15
    calamata olives, pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 c
    chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 10
    pepperoncini, chopped (italian pickled peppers)

How to Make Mean Woman Pasta

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine tomatoes, garlic, olives, basil, olive oil, and pepperoncinis. Stir together and allow to marinate as long as you have time for: overnight is best. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Toss with sauce and serve
