Everyone remembers their first love. I remember my first love's dad's best dish ever. Its called Hamburger Italiano and it is tasty and oh-so-easy.

Ingredients For hamburger italiano

  • 1/4 c
    butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground hamburger
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz
    cooked macaroni
  • 1 can
    3 oz mushroom - drained
  • 1 can
    tomato soup
  • 1-2 can
    rotel
  • 1/2 c
    grated italian cheese

How To Make hamburger italiano

    Saute the green pepper, onion and butter until slightly brown. Use a saute pan that will hold all ingredients above except the macaroni noodles and cheese

    Add Hamburger and cook till hamburger is no longer pink. Drain.

    Add all spices to the pan. Add worcestershire, soup, rotel, and mushrooms to the pan. Stir and heat for about 3-5 minutes. (NOTE: If you like spicy then use two cans of Rotel. If not just use one.)

    Add cooked macaroni to a large casserole dish. Pour pan mixture onto noodles and gently stir to combine all together. Sprinkle cheese on top.

    Bake in oven at 350 for 20-30 minutes. Serve with rolls or crusty french bread and a salad.
