Ingredients For squash casserole

  • 2 lb
    sausage
  • 3 c
    squash
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 sm
    green bell peppers
  • 2 c
    cheese
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • butter crakers, crushed ( for the top)

How To Make squash casserole

  • 1
    Slice squash into 1/2-inch pieces. Boil in water until tender; drain. Meanwhile, brown sausage in pan; drain off excess fat. In a large bowl mix together sausage, squash, onion, bell pepper and seasonings , mayonnise. Pour into a 1-quart buttered casserole dish. Mix melted butter and bread crumbs and sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes until browned.
