I adapted this recipe from Southern Living. I serve it with Zatarain's Yellow Rice, fixed according to package directions. It's been a big hit!

Ingredients For slow-cooker beans and smoked sausage

  • 2 lb
    smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1
    green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can
    kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 (15 oz) can
    chili beans with sauce
  • 1 (15 oz) can
    tomato sauce
  • 1 2/3 c
    water
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp
    creole seasoning
  • 3 Tbsp
    sweet pepper sauce

How To Make slow-cooker beans and smoked sausage

    Cook sausage in skillet over medium-high heat until browned.

    Place all ingredients in Crock Pot. Stir in sausage.

    Cook on low for about 4 hours. Serve with Rice.
