1 cdry lentils

4 cbeef broth

1 cdiced turnip with tops
How To Make mawneye - slow cooked lamb recipe

1Cut lamb into 1/2 inch pieces

2Salt and pepper the lamb well

3Brown the lamb in melted butter

4Add the cup of chicken broth and simmer for 45 minutes or until lamb is tender.

5Drain the liquid.

6Bring the lentils to a boil in the broth

7Then simmer for 15 minutes.

8Combine cinnamon, salt, basil and stir into diced turnip.

9Add turnip, currants and figs to the lentils and simmer for 10 minutes.

10Stir lamb into lentils and serve.
