How to Make Fruit Filled Squash, Crock Pot Style
- 1Cut squash in half crosswise; remove seeds. Sprinkle cavities with salt.
Combine apple, orange, brown sugar, orange peel, and salt.
Spoon into squash cavities; dot each with 1 tsp butter.
- 2Wrap each half securely in foil. Stack cut side down in crock pot cooker. Add water to bottom of crock pot.
Cover and cook on low heat setting for 6 hours.
- 3Unwrap squash and lift to serving plate. Drain any syrup remaining in the foil, into a small pitcher; serve with squash.
