Cheesy Kielbasa Potato Casserole

    bag of ore ida steam 'n mash russet potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 2 c
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 lb
    velveeta, cubed
  • 1/2 c
    sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 1 lb
    kielbasa or smoked sausage

How to Make Cheesy Kielbasa Potato Casserole


  1. Preheat oven to 350. Cut kielbasa (or sausage) in half lengthwise, then chop into 1/2" half-moon cuts. Brown in a frying pan over medium heat for about 10 minutes, turning frequently.
  2. Microwave your bag of Steam 'N Mash for 10 minutes.
  3. When the meat is browned, and the potatoes are done, combine in a 2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Mix all remaining ingredients (except for shredded sharp cheddar) into a saucepan. Whisk constantly over medium heat until warm, melted, and smooth.
  5. Pour cheese sauce over the meat/potato mixture.
  6. Sprinkle evenly with sharp cheddar. Bake for 30 minutes, or until bubbly. Enjoy!
