Ingredients

1
rabbit, cut into parts
1 bottle
red wine
1 medium
onion (sliced)
2 clove
garlic (diced)
2 or 3
bay leaves
1
chicken bouillon cube
olive oil
seasoned flour (salt & pepper)

How to Make Rabbit in Garlic and Wine

Step-by-Step

  • 1Marinade rabbit in 1/2 bottle of wine and leave for 1 hour.
  • 2Peel garlic and put in a large frying pan with 3 teaspoons oil. Heat gently. Coat rabbit parts in flour. Add as many parts of rabbit as fit in the pan and fry until brown on both sides.
  • 3When all rabbit is fried, place all parts back in the pan. Sprinkle with wine, add bay leaves, cover and cook gently for about 1 hour until rabbit is tender.
  • 4Add more wine, chicken stock and salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm until served.
