Adding avocado and a spicy sauce put this BLT sandwich in its own league. Toasted whole grain bread is hearty and holds up after adding the remaining ingredients. The tangy and slightly spicy mayonnaise spread is bursting with flavor. Cilantro and Serrano chiles add a spicy kick. Slices of creamy avocado complement the salty bacon, crispy lettuce, and juicy tomato slices. A great sandwich for lunch or a casual dinner.

  • 1 bunch
    lettuce head
  • 4 slice
    whole grain bread
  • 2 Tbsp
    lite mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp
    finely chopped cilantro
  • 2 tsp
    finely chopped Serrano pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 slice
    cheddar cheese

  • Fry bacon.

    Fry the bacon. Move bacon to paper towels to drain when crispy.
  • Prepare the avocado, tomato, lettuce, cilantro, and chiles.

    While the bacon is frying, slice the avocado into 6-8 slices. Slice 4 slices of the tomato. Tear lettuce leaves into 4 pieces. Finely chop the cilantro and Serrano peppers. Set aside.
  • Toast the bread.
