This high flavor, no pasta dish is not for those who prefer bland food. This dish is surprisingly zesty and even pleases the pasta lovers in my family. There are other recipes similar to this one out there, but none as good as mine! Your family will be asking you to make it again and again.

Ingredients For spaghetti squash and meatballs

  • 2
    spaghetti squash
  • 1 lb
    Italian sausage, mild
  • 1 lb
    Italian sausage, hot
  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 2 can
    tomato sauce (14 oz cans)
  • 4 Tbsp
    salsa
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 4 tsp
    Italian seasoning

How To Make spaghetti squash and meatballs

  • 1
The recipe needs two slow cookers (or you can cut the recipe in half and use one). Put one can of tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons of salsa, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, and 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning in each slow cooker. Stir.
  • 2
Cut the squash in half and scoop out the seeds. Put the squash halves face down in the sauce.
  • 3
Combine the mild and hot ground sausage with the ground turkey and shape into balls. Place around the squash. (I make mine about an inch round.)
  • 4
Cook on high 3 hours or low 5 hours.
  • 5
Place the squash halves on a cutting board and use two large forks to scrape and pull the spaghetti out of the squash.
  • 6
Divide the squash, meatballs and sauce between six bowls.
