Ingredients

  • 4
    chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil
  • 3 pkg
    assorted mushrooms (4 oz)
  • 1/3 c
    dry marsala wine
  • 1/3 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 tsp
    flour
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp
    thyme, chopped (or dried)

How to Make Chicken Marsala

Step-by-Step

  1. Salt and pepper chicken. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in large nonstick skillet over med-high heat. Add chicken and cook 3 minutes on each side. Transfer chicken to a plate.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon oil to same skillet. Add mushrooms; cook over medium-high heat, stir until mushrooms are browned (4 minutes).
  3. Whisk Marsala, broth, and flour in a small bowl. Pour into skillet with garlic. Cook stirring constantly until mixture bubbles and thickens about one minutes. Return chicken to skillet, coat with sauce and sprinkle with thyme. Cook 5 minutes more.
