This easy low carb dish won't win a beauty contest, but it would take first place based on taste. Seriously yummy! The combination of beef and sausage is a great base for the dish and adds so much flavor. The creamy Alfredo sauce is not only easy but is just the right amount for the recipe. Even if you aren't on a low carb diet, this is a must-try.

Ingredients For hamburger, sausage, broccoli alfredo - low carb

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 lb
    bulk sausage (breakfast or Italian will work)
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 10-12 oz
    fresh broccoli
  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese, 8 oz.
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 c
    Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 8 oz
    mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make hamburger, sausage, broccoli alfredo - low carb

  • Browning hamburger, sausage, and onion in a skillet.

    In a large skillet, brown hamburger, sausage, onion, and garlic over a medium heat.
  • Adding seasoning to the meat mixture.

    Season to taste with oregano, salt, and pepper; drain excess fat.
  • Steaming the broccoli.

    Meanwhile, steam the broccoli until tender yet still a little crisp; season with salt and pepper.
  • Microwaving the cream cheese in a bowl.

    Place cream cheese in a microwaveable bowl and microwave on HIGH for about 45 seconds, until soft. Whisk until creamy and smooth.
  • Whisking cream into the cream cheese.

    Gradually whisk in the cream until smooth; stir in the Parmesan cheese.
  • Adding meat mixture, Alfredo, and broccoli to a casserole dish.

    Combine hamburger, broccoli and cream sauce in a large greased casserole dish (2 ½ quart or larger). Taste test and add additional salt, and pepper if desired.
  • Topping the casserole with shredded cheese.

    Top with shredded cheese.
  • Baking the hamburger, sausage, broccoli Alfredo casserole in the oven.

    Bake at 350º for about 35-45 minutes, until bubbly around edges.
