There is a furniture store named Ikea in New York. They have a food cafe in the store, and are famous for their Swedish Meatballs. I found the recipe on Facebook, and decided to make them. They are delicious!! My family loved them. My photos.

1 lbground beef

1 lbground pork

1/2 lgonion, chopped

2 clovefresh garlic, minced

1 lgegg

1egg yolk

3/4 cpanko bread crumbs (you can use italian bread crumbs instead)

3 Tbspunsalted butter (sweet butter) divided

2 Tbspmilk

1/4 tspnutmeg

salt and pepper to taste
- GRAVY

1/4 cunsalted butter (sweet butter)

1/4 call purpose flour
-
3 cbeef broth
-
1/2 cheavy cream
-
1/2 tspworcestershire sauce

salt and peper
How To Make ikea swedish meatballs - copycat recipe

1In a large skillet, heat 2 tblsp. sweet butter. Saute onion and garlic until tender and soft. Add milk until a paste forms. Set aside.

2In a large bowl, combine all of the meatball ingredients and mix well. Add the onion paste and mix again.

3Make 1" meatballs, and brown in the remaining 1 tblsp. sweet butter. Drain on paper towels, and set aside.

4Make Gravy: melt butter in skillet; whisk in flour stirring constantly. Add beef broth, worcestshire sauce, heavy cream, and salt and pepper. Stir until gravy is smooth.

5Return browned meatballs to the gravy, and cook on low until gravy is thickened and meatballs are heated through, about 15 minutes.
