Any Time is Burger Time!!! Especially when You know the Firemen are cooking them.... This is the first in a series of Burgers that I will be posting for Your Enjoyment!!! I hope You all enjoy each one!!!! Sincerely, Fireman Bob :) * Note * Prep time includes 10 minutes of resting before placing on the grill.

Ingredients For fireman bob's fire house burger # 1 " big blue "

  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese - softened
  • 8 oz
    blue cheese - crumbled
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1 tsp
    coarse sea salt
  • 2 tsp
    fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 lg
    fresh lemon - juiced and zested
  • 1 pinch
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 4 to 6
    hamburger buns

How To Make fireman bob's fire house burger # 1 " big blue "

    Take the ground beef and break it up into a large bowl, add the sea salt, fresh ground black pepper, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, garlic salt, lemon juice,and extra virgin olive oil and combine gently till incorporated all together. Set aside for 10 minutes, allowing the ingredients to " meld ".

    Carefully divide the mixture into 4 ( or 6 ) equal amounts. Next, Place the cream cheese, blue cheese, and milk in another bowl and combine till You get a thick dip like texture.

    Take half of the ground beef and place 1 to 2 tablespoons of the blue cheese mixture in the middle of the beef, take the other half of beef and place on top making a patty with the blue cheese mixture in the middle. Making a 1 inch patty. When all the burgers are made, place on a plate and allow to set for 10 minutes.

    When the grill is ready ( Hot ) You can place the burgers on the grill. Cook the burgers on the grill for 8 minutes each and only flipping the burger once... Flipping over and over will " dry " out the burger and you will lose the juices... COOK each side for 8 minutes for Medium... Cooking more or less to your taste for " doneness "

    You can Garnish your Burgers with your usual favorites such as Lettuces, Pickles, Tomatoes, Mustard, Mayo, Ketchup etc. ENJOY!!!!
