Number 6 in the Fire House series, This Burger will give You plenty of fun trying to finish it... The Firemen would take twice as long to eat this one... They savored every bite! Enjoy !!!

Ingredients For fireman bob's " crunch " burger number 6

  • 3/4 lb
    salt pork - chopped - diced fine
  • 1 1/2 lb
    angus ground beef
  • 1 lb
    sausage - ground
  • 6 clove
    garlic - roasted
  • 1 sm
    poblano pepper - chopped - dice fine
  • 1 c
    day old bread crumbs - chopped - diced fine
  • 4 Tbsp
    worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    course sea salt - or to taste
  • 2 tsp
    fresh cracked black pepper - or to taste
  • 1 1/2 c
    extra sharp cheddar cheese - shredded
  • 8 slice
    beef steak tomato - 1/2 inch thick
  • 8 slice
    white onion - 1/2 inch thick - roasted
  • 3 Tbsp
    chives - chopped - fine dice
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh rosemary - chopped - fine dice
  • 1 Tbsp
    fennel seeds - roasted - crushed
  • 1/4 c
    horseradish - your choice of brand
  • 1/4 c
    chile sauce - your choice of brand

How To Make fireman bob's " crunch " burger number 6

    In a Large Skillet place the salt pork, chives, rosemary, fennel seeds, poblano pepper, and brown, drain, and allow to cool to the touch.

    In a large bowl combine the salt pork mixture with the beef, sausage, garlic, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, cheddar cheese, horseradish, and chili sauce.

    Grill onion slices till caramelized.

    Form into 6 to 8 large patties and grill for 6 minutes each side, turning only once.

    During the last few minutes, add additional cheddar cheese to melt.

    Place caramelized onions, tomatoes, on the patties and place on your choice of buns. ( use a good sturdy bun toasted. ( your choice )
