One of the entire family's favorite "finger foods" mom served on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve/Day and on Super Bowl Sunday. It keeps well in the fridge but, doesn't last very long!

Ingredients For mom's pizza bread

  • 1 1/2-2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2-2 c
    monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2-2 c
    mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1-2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 can
    chopped black olives (small)
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce (8 oz.)
  • 1 can
    tomato paste (5.5 oz.)
  • 1 can
    oil (vegetable or olive - use empty paste can)

    loaf of sweet french bread

How To Make mom's pizza bread

    In a large mixing bowl, mix well: all cheese, oregano, olives, tomato sauce, tomato paste and oil.

    Cut loaf of french bread in half, lengthwise. Spread mixture on bread, in a somewhat thin layer or it won't completely melt and place under broiler until cheese is melted and bubbly.

    Slice and serve.
