One of my beach buddies, JoAnn, shared this recipe with me and I want to pass it on to those of you that like crab meat. Hope you enjoy this wonderful casserole. Yummers!

Ingredients For crabmeat au gratin

  • 4 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    self-rising flour
  • 1/4 pt
    half & half (or canned milk)
  • 1/4 c
    dry wine, drink the rest
  • 1/2 lb
    lump crab meat
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/8 tsp
    old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 c
    sharp cheddar cheese (or more)

How To Make crabmeat au gratin

  • 1
    Mix together the melted butter, flour & milk over low heat until thickened.

    Take off heat & stir in the wine. Now stir in the crab meat, salt, pepper & Old Bay.

    Pour into sprayed casserole dish & sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 325 for 20 to 30 minutes.
