Ingredients For bass fillet with chili lime sauce

  • 4
    bass fillets about 4 oz each
  • salt and pepper
  • cornstarch
  • 4 Tbsp
    vegetable or peanut oil
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 lg
    red chili seeded and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • juice of 2 limes
  • grated zest of 1 lime
  • cilantro for garnish

How To Make bass fillet with chili lime sauce

    Salt and pepper the fish fillets and dredge them in cornstarch shaking off excess. Cook them in oil until browned and cooked through. Carefully remove them from the pan. Set aside and keep warm
  • 2
    Add garlic and chilies to pan. Stir fry 2 minutes. Add the brown sugar lime juice and zest and 2 tbsp water. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer 2 minutes.

    Serve sauce over fish garnished with cilantro.
