An electric pressure cooker is the way to go for a quick and easy meal.. The hardest part is finding a correct oven safe dish to fit into your electric pressure cooker. I found a round Corningware that was perfect. I know fried bass fillet is the best but once in a while you want something different. Go ahead and use your own seasoning ... more or less as to your taste. Another way is line lemon slices on the bottom of your dish before adding the fish. You could use any type of fish, just adjust the time.

How To Make bass fillet in the electric pressure cooker

  • 1
First thing I do is pat the fillet dry with paper towels and use tweezers to remove small pin bones.
  • 2
Spray or rub down (with butter) the baking dish that you are going to use inside of the pressure cooker. Add sliced lemons to bottom if you want a lemon flavor.
  • 3
Because bass fillet are so small I like to roll them up to make them larger so they will not over cook. Roll up your bass fillet and attach each roll with a round toothpick. Place into your baking dish.
  • 4
Sprinkle with your seasoning..just a little goes a long way in a pressure cooker. Add a pat of butter (salt or unsalted) on top of each rolled up fish.
  • 5
Drizzle with a little olive oil.
  • This is what the rolled up bass fillet look like. I also added some lemon pepper.
    6
Instant Pot or another brand of electric pressure cooker inner pot: Add 2 cups of water and add a trivet to the bottom of your inner pot and then set the baking dish with your fish fillet on top of trivet.
  • 7
Lock your lid and use the Manual setting. Set timer for 3 to 4 minutes depending on the size or thickness of your fish.
  • 8
When the time is up... use the quick release so your fish will not over cook. Serve with tartar sauce or melted butter.
  • 9
Bonus is that they come with their own little toothpick.
