A simple way to prepare salmon. The creamy coating has a tangy tone to it that everyone seems to love. For a full meal, serve it with steamed rice, asparagus (or broccoli) and fresh baked bread.

Ingredients For baked salmon dijon

  • cooking spray (to coat baking sheet)
  • 1 cup
    sour cream (lowfat or regular)
  • 2 tsp
    dried dill
  • 3 Tbsp
    green onion (scallions), finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 lb
    salmon fillets with skin
  • 1 to 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 lg
    lemon, cut into 6 wedges (for garnish)

How To Make baked salmon dijon

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly oil a baking sheet with cooking spray.

    Whisk sour cream, dill, onion, mustard, and lemon juice in small bowl to blend.

    Place salmon, skin side down, on oiled baking sheet. Sprinkle top of salmon with garlic powder and pepper, then spread with the creamy sauce.

    Place baking sheet in oven, and bake for 20 minutes or until salmon is opaque in center. If desired, spoon some of the pan juices over each serving. Garnish each serving with a lemon wedge, and serve immediately.
