Asian Salmon with Rice

This is an authentic asian recipe from a friend of mine. This is by far my favorite salmon dish. Yum!

  • 4
    salmon portions
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar, light
  • 2 clove
    minced garlic
  • 1 pinch
    black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame oil

  • 2 c
    rice, long grain
  • Tbsp
    dill weed
  • 4 c

How to Make Asian Salmon with Rice


  1. Whisk all of the ingredients for the marinade together. Cut several small slashes in each salmon portion.
  2. Place the salmon in a baking dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon. Cover with saran wrap and refridgerate for 1-2 hours.
  3. Bake salmon (uncovered) at 350 degrees for 30 mins.
  4. While the salmon is cooking, make the rice according to package directions and add the dill at the same time you add the rice to the boiling water.
  5. Serve salmon over rice and pour any left over marinade from the baking dish on top.
