Ingredients For malaysian fried chicken

  • 6 sm
    chicken drumsticks
  • 1 Tbsp
    juice of cilantro stems
  • 1 Tbsp
    shrimp paste
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1
    egg white
  • 2 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • oil for frying
  • sweet chili sauce for dipping

How To Make malaysian fried chicken

    Using a mortar and pestle pound the cilantro stems and extract the juice ringing them out with your hands.

    Combine the cilantro juice with the shrimp paste, sugar, egg white, sesame oil, cornstarch and flour. Add the chicken and coat well and let them marinate overnight.

    Heat oil to 350 degrees and deep fry until crispy. Transfer to 350 degrees oven and bake for 10 minutes to cook the chicken completely. Serve with sweet chili sauce
