I love chicken slow cooked shreds. So I started off with chicken in a crockpot, and took some italian pantry ingredients, toasted some garlic rolls, Then we enjoyed these hoagies. Now thats italian!!!

Ingredients For italian pulled chicken hoagies

  • 8
    chicken thighs, skinless and boneless
  • 1 1/2 c
    burgundy wine
  • 18 oz
    jar marinara
  • 3/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    green pepper
  • 1
    chopped garlic clove
  • 1 Tbsp
    adobo powder
  • s&p
  • 16 oz
    pkg sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • GARLIC ROLLS
  • any size rolls
  • butter
  • italian seasonings or herbes de provance
  • garlic powder

How To Make italian pulled chicken hoagies

    S&P chicken thighs both sides. Place on bottom of crockpot.

    Combine rest of ingredients in bowl and whisk. Pour over chicken. Making sure chicken just covered (may have to add or subtract some sauce) Cover and set on low for 7-8 hrs. Shredd chicken with forks. Will shred easily.

    Spread rolls with butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder and italian seasonings and toast in oven for a min.

    Spread chicken mix on each roll and top with parm and enjoy!
