I love cooking with the crock pot while I am at work all day. The kitchen smells wonderful when I make this recipe!

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    red pepper
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    thyme
  • 1 tsp
    white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1
    large roasting chicken with pop up timer if possible
  • 1
    large onion

How to Make Crock Pot Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut up onion and put in bottom of crock pot.
  2. Mix all other ingredients together and rub on chicken, loosen skin and rub under skin and in chicken cavity.
  3. Put chicken on top of onions in crock pot. Do not add any liquid as the chicken will make its own.
  4. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours
