This is a white chicken chili. The kids and I watched the movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" after we ate our chili, that is how we named it! This is a very good comfort food chili. You can add more heat by adding more jalapeno peppers and including the veins and seeds! I printed my mild version here because most people don't like chili as spicy as I do. You can make it as hot as you like! My grandchildren love this chili and they like it with the corn, sometimes we have made it without the beans. I hope you try this chili and see just how good it is!

How To Make chicken chili chili bang bang !

  • diced potatoes
    1
Peel potatoes, dice them and put in large pot. Put in just enough water to cover and then add 2 cups more water. Bring to a boil and cook about 10 minutes or until tender.
  • 2
Saute the celery in butter (or olive oil) for 5 minutes, then add the remaining veggies. Do not brown the veggies! Add a little water if needed to prevent browning. Add the veggies to the pan with the potatoes and water.
  • White kidney beans
    3
Add the beans and chicken. (Do not drain liquids from the cans! This is the only salt needed unless you choose to add more).
  • 4
Add the soups and spices. Heat thoroughly about 8 minutes or so. If you like a thinner chili, feel free to add some water until you reach the desired consistancy.
