(14.5 ounce) italian style diced tomatoes
1 can(s)
(15 ounce) tomato sauce
1 can(s)
(6 ounce) tomato paste
1 Tbsp
balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp
granulated sugar
1/2 tsp
dry oregano
1/2 tsp
dry basil
1/4 tsp
ground black pepper
2 Tbsp
olive oil, divided
chicken tenderloins, cut into thirds
1 Tbsp
minced garlic
pasta (any variety), prepared according to package directions
grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Chicken Pomodoro


  • 1In a large bowl, combine diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, vinegar, sugar, oregano, basil, black pepper and 1 Tbsp olive oil; stir to blend.
  • 2In a large, heavy bottom skillet, heat 1 Tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat. Saute chicken tenderloins for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Add minced garlic and saute for 1 minute.
  • 3Slowly pour the sauce into hot skillet and reduce heat to low. Simmer the chicken in the sauce for 10 minutes.
  • 4Serve over your favorite pasta and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
