This is how Chicken Puffs were made back in the 30' and 40's, my era

Ingredients For baked chicken puffs

  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    diced chicken
  • 2 c
    cooked peas
  • 4
    eggs, separated
  • 1/3 c
    grated processed american cheese

How To Make baked chicken puffs

    Preheat oven to 375 F. In a mixing bowl, combine soup, milk, salt, chicken and peas Pour mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, or 4 large muffin tins.

    Bake uncovered 10 minutes. Meanwhile, beat egg whites until stiff. With same beater thoroughly beat egg yolks; add cheese

    Lightly fold yolks into whites, pile onto of chicken mixture. Bake uncovered 30 minutes.
