french onion, creamy & filling casserole

When u 1st take a fork or spoonful of this creamy, filling casserole, you're going to feel all warm and comfy because it's 1 of THOSE casseroles! And the crunchy fried onions make it all worth the calories, lol.

Ingredients For french onion, creamy & filling casserole

  • 2 lb
    ground beef or turkey, i used turkey
  • 1 bag
    16 oz. wide egg noodles, i used " no yolk"
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 md
    yellow onion, diced
  • 1 pkg
    dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 4 oz
    softened cream cheese
  • 16 oz
    sour cream
  • 1 c
    milk, i used 2% milk
  • 2 c
    french's french fried onions

How To Make french onion, creamy & filling casserole

    Spray a large skillet w/ cooking spray. Place over medium heat. Add the beef or ground turkey along with the Worcestershire sauce & the diced onions. Cook until almost fully browned but not quite done.

    Add the dry onion soup packet and stir to combine. Cook noodles as directed, except boil until just about done but not fully. Drain the noodles well & put back into pot.

    Add to the noodles the can of soup, sour cream, cream cheese and milk. Stir well. Add the beef or turkey mix to the noodles. Heat oven to 350 and lightly spray a 9" x 13" casserole pan w/ cooking spray. Spoon the whole mix into the casserole pan and smooth it out so it's evenly distributed. Top the casserole w/ the French's fried onions & bake 35 minutes, uncovered.
