When I first got this recipe from my sister I didn't know what to think - I'd never had chips cooked into a dish and was very skeptical. But I tried it, and it's been a family favorite ever since. It's just one of those dishes that defines comfort food... it's hot, cheesy, fill you up food.

Ingredients For chicken casserole

2-3boneless, skinless chicken breast

1 cancream of mushroom soup

1 cancream of chicken soup

8 ozsour cream

2 Tbspoil, whatever you prefer to cook with

1 smonion, diced

3/4 bagtortilla chips, crushed (not too finely)

3 ccheddar cheese, shredded, divided
How To Make chicken casserole

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Cut chicken into bite size pieces. Season Chicken. (use your favorite seasonings - I use salt, pepper, garlic powder & seasoning salt)

3Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat. Add chicken & onions. Saute until chicken is cooked though. 8-10 minutes

4In casserole dish mix soups, sour cream, half the cheese and crushed chips.

5Add cooked chicken to casserole dish, mix together

6spread remaining cheese on top

7Bake 20-30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly, and heated all the way though.
