This can be made with either biscuits or yeast dough. If using yeast rolls, allow some time after assembling for dough to rise, about double the size, before baking. Bake according to package instructions.

Ingredients For monkey bread pizza

  • 2 pkg
    refrigerated biscuit dough, 6 biscuits each or
  • 1 pkg
    frozen yeast bread rolls. thawed
  • 1 jar
    pizza sauce, red or white or just evoo
  • 2 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 c
    pepperoni (or other favorite toppings)
  • 5 or more
    fresh basil leaves, chiffonade

How To Make monkey bread pizza

  • 1
    Preheat oven as per directions on dough. With a sharp knife, divide each biscuit or roll into 4.
  • 2
    In a large bowl, combine diced biscuit dough, sauce, 1 1/2, cheese, some of the chiffonade basil and toppings. Stir to combine.

    Pour mixture into greased oven safe skillet or 9×13 baking pan.

    Sprinkle remaining chiffonade basil on top along with remaining cheese.

    Bake according to directions on dough, checking to make sure dough is cooked through and cheese is bubbling, May need to add about 5 minutes more.

    Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
