This is my husband's favorite campfire food. I try to make it every time we go camping. It makes a quick and easy meal that is hearty and delicious!

Ingredients For hamburger hobo pouches

  • 1 lb
    ground chuck
  • 1 lg
    sweet onion, sliced
  • 4
    yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 4 md
    carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 4 dash
    garlic salt
  • 4 dash
    onion powder
  • 4 dash
    seasoned salt
  • 4 dash
    black pepper
  • butter flavor cooking spray or i can't believe it's not butter spray
  • 4
    12 inch sheets of heavy duty aluminum foil

How To Make hamburger hobo pouches

  • 1
    Lay out 4 sheets of heavy duty aluminum foil and spray each one with butter flavor cooking spray. Place onion slices on the center of foil.

    Shape the ground beef into four quarter pound hamburger patties. Lay hamburgers on top of onions and sprinkle with seasonings.

    Place sliced carrots and potatoes over hamburger patties and sprinkle again with seasonings and spray with a bit of butter flavored cooking spray or I can't believe it's not butter spray.

    Fold aluminum foil over burgers and vegetables and seal edges to make a pouch.

    Bake in preheated 350 degree oven or grill over hot coals for 30 minutes until meat is cooked through and potatoes and carrots are tender.
