Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 c
    bread crumbs, dry
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    instant minced onion
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 can(s)
    15 oz tomato sauce, divided
  • TOPPPING

  • ·
    reserved tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    prepared mustard

How to Make Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix together beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and eggs. Add onion and 1/2 of tomato sauce. Form into loaf in 9x5x3 loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 50 min. In saucepan combine topping ingredients; bring to boil. Pour over meat loaf; bake 10 min more
  2. I pour only a little over meatloaf and save the rest to use as a gravey to pour over the meat at the table.
